I’ve been meaning to do something for charity for a long time now.
Not one to do things by halves, rather than a bike ride or a hill climb, I’m attempting a sponsored walk, well more of a trek, up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
If you’re old enough to remember Chris Bonington, boiling up snow and ice to make lots of beefy goodness, you’ll know that I’m probably getting on a bit to take on this sort of strenuous activity.
The last sponsored walk I did was 2 laps round my school in 1981.
And so, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, I’m asking you to dig deep and donate some money on my behalf, as I attempt to trek up Africa’s highest peak, to nearly 20,000 feet.
This, I am sure, will be no easy climb. But it’s a chance to attempt to reach a difficult summit for a worthy cause.
Please follow this link, and donate whatever you can afford.

Between the 6 of us, we aim to raise £50,000, so I’m counting on your generosity. Please don’t only think of me climbing a monumental 20,000 feet, but also the fight against cancer.
Thank you so much for whatever support you may offer.
Love and oxygen,
Jonathan
PS If you wouldn’t mind mentioning my name in the donation comment, then at least I can keep track of who’s donated to whom.
